Unusual Presentation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis: Importance of Abdominal Distension as a Clinical Indicator

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common malignancy of the liver. It frequently diagnosed in male gender with racial predilection towards Asian and African populations. In addition to distant metastasis, large tumors can result direct extrahepatic metastasis peritoneum diaphragm through rupture exophytic tumor hepatocellular peritoneal cavity. We report case 55-year-old having secondary hepatitis C metastasis. The CT abdomen contrast triphasic study was suggestive alarming features chronic liver disease multicentric hepatoma formation predominantly segment VIII localized subcapsular collection. Additionally, an extensive omental thickening nodularity were also seen subhepatic space. Multiple nodules right cardiophrenic angle, lower abdomen, rectovesical pouch. conventional chemotherapy sorafenib, cytoreduction surgery hyperthermic intraperitoneal has been shown dramatically improve survival patients
